The Role:
• We are looking for a hands-on, field-oriented Field Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and customer support teams on the ground.
• This role is central to ensuring operational consistency, quality control, cost efficiency, and team performance across our portfolio.
• You will act as the operational bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring standards are met daily.
What You'll Do:
• Act as the main point of contact for guests before, during, and after their stay.
• Manage guest inquiries, requests, and issue resolution with a luxury service mindset.
• Support the management team with updates, reporting, and day-to-day operational communication.
• Ensure service standards, response times, and brand tone are consistently met.
• Coordinate and manage housekeeping, maintenance, and customer support field teams.
• Ensure properties meet luxury standards in cleanliness, maintenance, and readiness at all times.
• Plan and control daily, weekly, and seasonal operations, including scheduling and workload allocation.
• Define, implement, and track KPIs related to quality, response time, costs, and team performance.
• Manage stock control (linen, amenities, consumables, equipment).
• Negotiate and manage external suppliers and service providers (cleaning, laundry, maintenance, logistics).
• Control operational budgets and costs, identifying efficiencies without compromising quality.
• Perform regular on-site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate closely with management to provide reporting, insights, and operational improvements.
Who You Are:
• +5 years of experience* in hospitality operations, managing field teams (housekeeping, maintenance, or hotel operations).
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible and willing to step in when needed.
• Strong experience creating and implementing procedures, workflows, and operational standards.
• Solid background in budget control and cost management.
• Natural leader with strong organisational and people-management skills.
• Hands-on mindset, comfortable being on the ground and solving problems in real time.
• Willing to work from and travel to Viana do Castelo regularly.
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle (mandatory).
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Comfortable using digital tools, reporting systems, and Excel.
