Google Cloud Solution Architect - Centre of Excellence

Quick Description

The TD SYNNEX Centre of Excellence is a pan-European team of certified cloud architects and technology experts supporting EMEA partners with technical enablement, solution design, architecture, and consulting. With deep expertise in Google technologies, industry best practices, and business processes, the team drives IT transformation aligned with customer goals. Ideal candidates are senior professionals with proven experience in Google Cloud and Workspace, consulting, project delivery, and enablement-marked by a proactive mindset and bias for action.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations, customized demos, seminars, and workshops to partners showcasing Google Cloud and Workspace technologies.
  • Collaborate with EMEA pre-sales teams and partners to drive technical awareness and support customer propositions for GWS and GCP.
  • Translate business requirements into effective Google Cloud solutions and clearly communicate desired outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Design, plan, and execute technical demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) as well as migrations.
  • Act as the technical expert for Google Workspace and a designated GCP technology domain.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications in GWS and GCP, continuously developing technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with the ability to design cloud-based solutions that address customer needs and align with market trends.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, data, middleware, and cloud architecture (IaaS & PaaS), with expertise in GWS and GCP.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Fast learner with a passion for technology and a drive to embrace new challenges.
  • Solid understanding of IT market dynamics and emerging trends.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex business requirements into high-value solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Results-driven, committed to delivering high-quality outcomes with a positive, energetic attitude.

Skills Required

  • Deep understanding of infrastructure components (e.g., hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security) and orchestration for cloud solution development.
  • 6-8 years of IT experience, including architecture, implementation, and delivery of large-scale systems (Lift & Shift, Cloud Native, Cloud Security, Hybrid Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of IT market trends and Google industry solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with GWS and GCP, with a solid understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Experience presenting to C-level stakeholders.
  • GWS and GCP certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer and Professional Cloud Architect), or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Background in pre-sales or technical consulting.
  • Proven experience in the IT industry as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Engineer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong persuasive abilities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
