About the Role

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure and systems that power software used by thousands of companies and millions of users.

In this role, you'll work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, Architects, and Product teams to ensure data is accurate, secure, and readily available. You'll contribute to building and optimising data pipelines, data models, and integration processes that enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven product features.

Location:
Hybrid – 2x/week in office

Contract Type:
Full-time, employee

Salary:
€40k-55k/year

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Delivery

  • Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and ETL pipelines.
  • Work with Architects and Product teams to define and agree core data ingestion interfaces.
  • Implement data transformations to support analytics and downstream use cases.
  • Build and maintain data warehouses to surface information for BI tools and API-based reporting.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to productise analytical insights into structured datasets.

Data Quality, Governance & Optimisation

  • Ensure high data quality through validation, testing, and monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain data test frameworks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure data is catalogued correctly with appropriate security and sensitivity classifications.
  • Optimise data pipelines and models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and transformation.
  • Experience with ETL / data ingestion pipelines and data transformation processes.
  • Solid understanding of data lake architectures and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience developing data test and validation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services.

Desirable

  • Experience with Power BI for report development and visualisation.
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning concepts or data pipelines supporting ML use cases.
