Right now, we are seeking a
Junior FinOps Engineer
to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team. The successful candidate will assist in managing and optimizing cloud costs, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to ensure efficient use of cloud resources. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in FinOps, with opportunities to learn and grow within a dynamic team focused on cloud financial operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing cloud spending across Azure and other platforms.
  • Support the creation of cost reports, dashboards, and budgeting forecasts.
  • Participate in cost optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and finance teams to implement cost-saving measures and best practices.
  • Learn and apply FinOps principles, including tagging strategies, reserved instances, and usage monitoring.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for cloud cost governance.

You must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years in finance, cloud operations, or related areas.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms, especially Azure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with cost management tools like Azure Cost Management or AWS Cost Explorer.
  • Interest in learning scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of basic financial concepts and budgeting processes.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (preferred).
