What is my role like?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Data Analyst to help consolidate and expand the Business Intelligence (BI) area within our IT department. This professional will be responsible for supporting leadership in defining standards and best practices for data visualization, using Power BI as the primary tool. Additionally, they will play a key role in communication and negotiation with managers, ensuring that BI solutions are effective and aligned with the company's strategic needs.

What will my daily tasks involve?

  • Assist in creating and implementing standards for the use of Power BI across the organization, ensuring consistency and quality in data visualizations.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and execute Business Intelligence strategies that support business objectives.
  • Work directly with managers to understand data needs and ensure that dashboards and reports are effective for decision-making. Facilitate communication between technical and business teams, ensuring that requirements are clear and feasible.
  • Create and optimize dashboards and reports in Power BI, ensuring that visualizations are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor the use of BI solutions and implement improvements based on continuous feedback, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of data visualization tools.

What is expected from me?

  • Experience as a Product Manager, Functional Data Analyst or in related roles, with a strong focus on Business Intelligence and Power BI.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at different levels and areas.
  • Proficiency in English, essential for collaboration with international teams and potential expansions in Malta.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT Management, or related fields. A Master's degree is a plus.
