About the Role

  • As a Security Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain sophisticated user-authentication and browser/device fingerprinting systems. You'll work in an agile, high-impact environment, using modern technologies to help prevent fraud and abuse during online transactions.
  • This role requires strong technical skills, curiosity, independence, and a genuine interest in security and anti-fraud challenges. Engineers have full ownership across the development lifecycle, from feature planning and technology choices to implementation, deployment, and post-release monitoring in a CI/CD environment.
  • The team focuses on collecting large-scale behavioral insights and making them available to advanced order and risk analysis systems, offering true end-to-end ownership and impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and develop advanced JavaScript and/or mobile techniques for:
  • Browser and device fingerprinting
  • Device identification
  • Detection of automation tools, bots, and spoofing attempts
  • Collaborate closely with research, data science, and product teams to define and deliver new feature.
  • Actively contribute to roadmap planning and technical decisions
  • Stay up to date with evolving browser/mobile security features and potential exploit.
  • Continuously deploy code to production using advanced CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in web or mobile security
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Browser internals, DOM manipulation, and browser APIs or
  • Mobile internals and security-related APIs
  • Strong interest in security, anti-fraud research, web security, browser fingerprinting, and bot detection
  • Knowledge of WebGL, canvas fingerprinting, and/or audio fingerprinting is a plus
  • Background in e-commerce security and common fraud patterns is a plus
  • 2+ years of hands-on programming experience (web or mobile)
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, Angular, or Objective-C is a plus
  • Independent, proactive mindset with strong collaboration skills
