Who You Are We are seeking a Lead Cloud & Infrastructure Architect, a seasoned expert who is both a visionary strategist and an elite hands-on technologist. This role is one of Jolera's most senior technical positions, responsible for overseeing complex transformation initiatives across cloud, security, networking, data, identity, and infrastructure. You will serve as the technical authority for large customer programs, building modernization blueprints, leading enterprise workshops, overseeing architectural governance, and guiding multi-disciplinary engineering teams while remaining fully capable of performing deep-dive implementation and troubleshooting when necessary. This role requires the breadth of a principal architect and the depth of a senior engineer. You will influence business outcomes, design next-generation platforms, and set the technical direction across multi-cloud and hybrid estates What You Will Do Strategic Architecture Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end architectural vision for enterprise transformation projects, including multi-cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, cyber-hardening, network redesign, and hybrid platform integration.
  
• Conduct strategic discovery workshops with CIO, CTO, CISO, and enterprise architecture teams.
• Translate business objectives into measurable technical strategies, roadmaps, and investment recommendations.
• Develop large-scale, multi-year transformation plans that align cloud, security, networking, data, and identity.
  

Hands-On Technical Expertise

• Engage directly in hands-on architecture and engineering for:
• Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud landing zones
• Identity and directory services (Quest, Entra ID, AD consolidation)
• Network architecture & redesign (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, Nexus/HyperFlex/HCI)
• Security architecture: MDR/XDR, SIEM/SOAR, CASB, firewalls, zero trust
• Infrastructure compute & virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, HCI, SRM, DRaaS)
• Data platform modernization (SQL, Azure SQL, pipelines, storage)
• Automation & DevOps (Terraform, Bicep, CI/CD, PowerShell, API integration)
• Solve the most complex escalations, providing deep diagnostic and troubleshooting leadership across cloud, security, networking, data, and infrastructure layers. 

Transformation Program Delivery

• Own the technical success of modernization programs end-to-end.
• Author and govern solution designs, high-level architectures, LLDs, migration runbooks, pilot plans, and execution frameworks.
• Validate designs implemented by the extended engineering team to ensure alignment with architectural principles.
• Lead cutover planning, execution oversight, and architectural risk mitigation.

Customer & Executive Engagement

• Act as the technical face of Jolera for enterprise customers.
• Present architectures, roadmaps, and modernization strategies with clarity and executive polish.
• Build trusted-advisor relationships with C-level leaders.
• Provide thought leadership for cloud, cybersecurity, modernization, automation, and cost-optimization strategy.

Practice Leadership & Internal Impact

• Mentor architects, engineers, and modernization consultants across cloud, security, networking, and infrastructure domains.
• Develop reusable accelerators, templates, and architectures to scale Jolera's global delivery model.
• Contribute to offering development, modernization playbooks, and global transformation IP.
• Partner with sales teams for pre-sales solution architecture, SOW development, and opportunity shaping.

What You Bring

• 12–20+ years of progressive technical experience across cloud, networking, identity, security, virtualization, and infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale transformation programs for MSPs, GSIs, or global integrators.

• Storage platforms (Dell EMC, NetApp, Unity, Data Domain)
• SQL Server, Azure SQL, data pipelines
• Active Directory, Quest migration tools
• Automation / DevOps
• Terraform, ARM/Bicep
• Azure DevOps / GitHub
• Scripting: PowerShell, API integration
• Serverless: Functions / Lambda

Soft Skills & Leadership

• Strong presentation, documentation, and architectural storytelling abilities.
• Experience guiding both technical and non-technical stakeholders through complex decisions.
• Calming, confident leadership during high-pressure cutovers or escalations.
• Ability to challenge assumptions diplomatically and drive consensus.

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional
• CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto certifications
• Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, or enterprise architecture frameworks (nice to have)
