We are now looking for a
Junior
Infrastructure Operations & Frontend Support Engineer
, a hands-on professional with a solid technical foundation who enjoys ensuring system reliability while contributing to the development and maintenance of user-facing interfaces.

About the role

• Must be based in
  Portugal or Spain
  , with
  remote-first flexibility
  .
• You will work closely with a
  Project Manager
  and a
  virtual operations and development team
  .
• You will support the stability, performance and evolution of internal and client-facing digital solutions.

Infrastructure support

• Monitor, maintain and support cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments.
• Manage environments, deployments, access control and basic security configurations.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, system updates and incident resolution.
• Ensure availability, performance and reliability of platforms and applications.
• Document operational procedures and best practices.

Backend Development & Support

• Maintain and support backend components using
  PHP and JavaScript
  for internal systems and client-facing applications.
• Implement business logic, API integrations and data processing based on functional requirements.
• Fix bugs, optimize existing code and implement small enhancements to improve performance and stability.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, functional analysts and other technical teams to ensure consistency, scalability and reliability across systems.
• Support testing, debugging and validation of backend functionalities across different environments.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work with cross-functional teams to support project delivery and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Contribute to technical discussions and propose incremental improvements.

About the worker

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

• A
  technical academic background
  (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or similar).
• 2–3 years of experience
  in infrastructure operations, systems administration or technical support roles.
• Experience working with
  cloud environments
  (Azure or AWS).
• Basic frameworks or libraries (e.g. React, Angular, Vue – basic level is sufficient)

Familiarity with:

• Version control systems (Git)
• CI/CD concepts
• REST APIs and system integrations
• A structured and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in distributed teams.
• Fluency in at least
  two of the following languages
  : Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
