Finance & Admin Coordinator (CC)

The Role:
We're looking for a Contabilista Certificado who can do more than just close the books, from accounting and compliance to HR and admin. You'll work closely with our ROC, lawyers, and leadership team to ensure everything runs smoothly and is ready to scale. This is a hands-on, high-trust role in a fast-moving startup. If you love structure, clarity, and getting things done, you'll thrive here.
What will you do?
- Own all internal accounting operations (general ledger, invoices, expenses, etc.)
- Coordinate with the ROC, external accounting partners, and lawyers for audits, filings, and
- corporate compliance
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for management and investors
- Manage payroll, meal allowance systems, and employee benefits
- Oversee HR administration: contracts, onboarding/offboarding, vacation tracking, insurance, etc.
- Ensure compliance with Portuguese tax, labor, and corporate legislation
- Maintain all back-office systems (e.g. invoicing, SEF, AT, SS, etc.)
- Help with grant applications or incentives (IEFP, PT2030, etc.)
What makes you a great fit?
- You're a Contabilista Certificado registered in Portugal
- You have experience in startups or SMEs and are comfortable wearing multiple hats
- You understand Portuguese compliance and know how to keep a company audit-ready
- You're proactive, organised, and detail-oriented. But also pragmatic.
- You have excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English
- Bonus: experience with HRIS tools, Notion, or setting up back-office systems in early-stage
- companies
