As a Junior Innovation Analyst, you will be an integral part of our innovation team, with a primary focus on building and operating the tools and pipelines that power our IP and technology evaluation workflows. You will contribute to the development of robust data ingestion and analysis systems in Python, manage and query structured data in MySQL, and help orchestrate LLM agents that parse, enrich, and score technical, market, and patent information. Your work will support Freedom to Operate (FTO) pipelines, patent landscaping, and quick molecule assessments—enabling faster, higher-confidence decisions across our product portfolio. This is a hands-on, engineering‑leaning role suited to candidates with programming experience and a background in biology/biotech (bioinformatics is a strong fit).

The selected candidate will:

• Integrate the innovation team, building and maintaining internal tools and pipelines (Python, SQL/MySQL, APIs) that support IP risk evaluation and decision-making.

• Design, orchestrate, and monitor LLM-based agents for document ingestion, retrieval, summarization, and consensus scoring (e.g., for patents, literature, market reports).

• Support FTO analyses and patent landscaping by automating steps in the established internal pipelines and generating reproducible reports and dashboards.

• Conduct quick, code-first assessments of molecules, combining novelty signals, market potential, and competitive landscape insights using our AI-assisted workflows.

• Possibility of deepening IP/FTO expertise and expanding software engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, containerization) depending on the candidate's profile.

Salary will be proposed considering the candidate's experience. The selected candidate will be employed by the company and will be part of an interdisciplinary team of experts in computer science, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, systems biology, molecular biology, bioprocess engineering, protein engineering, etc.

The successful candidate should ideally possess:

• Educational Background: A degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science , Biotechnology, or a related life-science field.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python are essential. Code versioning (Git), Containerization (Docker, Podman), CI/CD and experience with relational databases are all highly valued.

• AI & Automation: Familiarity with LLM frameworks, agent orchestration and API development/integration is highly valued.

• Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Scientific Knowledge: Basic understanding of molecular biology or biotechnology concepts to effectively handle biological data.

• Soft Skills: Curiosity, Autonomy, Resilience. willingness to learn new technologies, and a problem-solving mindset.

• Bonus: Previous exposure to IP analysis, patent data, or innovation metrics is valued, but not mandatory.
