Curiouz is looking for a 
Content & Merchandising Assistant
 to join us 
in our Porto office
.

This role is perfect for someone who loves interiors, vintage furniture, aesthetics, and the behind-the-scenes work that makes a design marketplace shine.

You'll be part of the heartbeat of our content operations — curating Pinterest boards, organising visual merchandising, and helping upload new pieces to our platform.

What You Will Do (in detail)
Pinterest Curation (Visual Merchandising Online)

  • Curate and manage our Pinterest boards twice a week (Tuesdays & Fridays).
  • Organise visual themes and collections (by designer, style, era, category).
  • Select the right images from our inventory and our inspiration archive.
  • Pin new products and brand content with SEO-friendly descriptions.
  • Ensure Pinterest reflects the aesthetic and values of Curiouz.

Product Upload & Marketplace Merchandising

  • Upload new items from our sellers into the Curiouz platform.
  • Select and edit the best images for each item (cropping, optimisation, renaming).
  • Write or refine product descriptions with correct metadata, style, year, origin.
  • Apply SEO principles to improve discoverability.
  • Ensure consistency of naming conventions, measurements, style notes, alt-text.
  • Organise products by category, style, and collection for better user navigation.

Support with Visual Operations at the Office

  • Assist with weekly content tasks defined by the marketing & merchandising team.
  • Help maintain aesthetic order and organisation of digital archives.
  • Collaborate with our creative and operations team on upcoming content projects.

The Role

  • Freelance / Independent contractor
  • Work at the office
     (Porto)
  • Tuesdays & Fridays – 8 hours/day total per week (4h + 4h)

Who You Are

  • Deep interest in design, interiors, architecture, or vintage culture.
  • Aesthetic sensitivity — you understand beauty, proportions, mood.
  • Comfortable writing and organising digital content.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Able to follow visual and SEO guidelines with precision.
  • Basic knowledge of Pinterest and/or design platforms is welcomed (not required).
