Proposal Engineer in Portugal – Fire Security

We are seeking a
Proposal Engineer
to join a dynamic fire security team in Lisbon. In this role, you will translate customer requirements into technical fire safety solutions, design and quote installations, and prepare comprehensive proposals for complex facilities such as hospitals, hotels, and industrial sites. You will work closely with Siemens, account managers, and end customers to deliver accurate and professional technical documentation.
What You Will Do
- Translate customer requirements into high-quality fire safety solutions
- Design and quote fire alarm and evacuation systems, upgrades, and expansions
- Analyze technical feasibility and collaborate with sales and execution teams to complete proposals
- Explore innovative solutions for non-standard cases in consultation with product managers
- Collaborate with account managers and financial admins to produce complete proposals
- Ensure smooth handover of approved projects to Project Managers and Software Engineers
Candidate Profile
- MBO diploma minimum; HBO-level thinking in Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred
- Experience in fire safety or security installations; certifications like BMI, OAI, or VOL VCA are a plus
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems; familiarity with extinguishing systems, ASD, or linear temperature detection beneficial
- Proficient in Dutch and English
- Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, Visio, and basic network/software tools
- Strong ownership, analytical and conceptual thinking, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a collaborative environment
