Join our team as a Platform Engineer (Hybrid – Lisbon)

What You'll Do:

  • Design, build, and maintain
    internal developer platforms
    that improve developer productivity and operational excellence.
  • Develop and enhance platform capabilities using
    Backstage
    and related platform engineering frameworks.
  • Implement and maintain
    CI/CD pipelines
    and
    GitOps workflows
    to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
  • Integrate and operate
    container orchestration platforms
    using
    Kubernetes
    and
    Docker
    as part of the platform architecture.
  • Drive
    automation initiatives
    to standardize workflows and reduce operational overhead.
  • Apply
    SRE principles
    to improve service reliability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver
    secure, reliable, and scalable
    platform solutions.
  • Ensure
    observability
    (monitoring, logging, alerting) and
    security
    are embedded by design in all platform components.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in
    platform engineering
    or
    DevOps
    roles.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Backstage
    and internal developer platform tooling.
  • Proficiency with
    Kubernetes
    and
    Docker
    in production environments.
  • Solid experience with
    Infrastructure as Code
    , particularly
    Terraform
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    CI/CD methodologies
    and modern software delivery pipelines.
  • Familiarity with
    monitoring, logging, and incident response
    frameworks.
  • Experience working in
    cloud-native environments
    ; exposure to
    multi-cloud
    strategies is a plus.
  • Good understanding of
    security best practices
    for platform and infrastructure design.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on enabling engineering teams.
