The Work You'll Do
The Technical Writer will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software developers, quality assurance engineers and support leaders to ensure delivery of high quality and effective documentation to our end users.

What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?

• Analyze and evaluates client needs and structures documentation to meet them
• Provide input for and modifies templates, structure, and document presentation
• Drive process and deliverable improvement initiatives
• Analyze existing documentation and determines ways to restructure and fill gaps
• Proofread/audit new and existing documentation for standards compliance
• Comprehend features and functionality that allows independent development of content Identify copy and substantive edits within their own work and the work of others to eliminate defects
• Work with Product Team(s) efficiently to ensure technical accuracy
• Complete large and complex backlog items for Product Team(s)
• Work with Product Team(s) to identify backlog items
• Attend design meetings to thoroughly understand features that are to be documented
• Create and publishes new online content using functional specifications and research for Product Team(s)
• Work independently to identify and implement necessary changes to release-specific user guides, installation guides and release notes

What We Need From You
Essential Job Functions:

• Comprehend and communicate complex concepts
• Concentrate, analyze and resolve complex problems
• Utilize technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements

What We Would Like You To Have

• B.A. degree in English or a communication or technical discipline, or B.A. degree plus equivalent experience
• 2-6 years' experience writing technical documentation for software applications
• Working in agile software development
• Supporting multiple agile software development teams
• Operating within highly-matrixed organizations a plus
• Experience using source control and defect-tracking systems
