Finance & Accounting Team Leader – Global Shared Services

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Team Leader to oversee a multidisciplinary team within a global shared services environment. This role involves leading professionals across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable / Order-to-Cash (AR/O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R), ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance throughout all financial operations.
The position is well suited for a finance leader who thrives in international environments, enjoys developing people and champions continuous improvement in processes, systems and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Management
– Lead, mentor and motivate a team of finance professionals.
– Foster collaboration, capability building and consistent delivery across all workstreams.
– Provide regular feedback, coaching and performance oversight.
Operational Oversight
– Supervise end-to-end operations across AP, AR/O2C, R2R and general ledger activities.
– Ensure accuracy and timeliness in invoice processing, reconciliations, collections and reporting.
– Manage escalations and complex enquiries with professionalism.
Performance & Compliance
– Monitor KPIs, SLAs and operational metrics, driving continuous improvement.
– Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards and audit requirements.
– Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles.
Process Optimisation & Innovation
– Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation and standardisation.
– Promote best practices, operational excellence and cross-functional alignment.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
– Communicate regularly with internal partners and senior stakeholders.
– Work with HR, training and quality teams to strengthen capabilities.
– Act as deputy for the Finance Operations Manager when required.
PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS
– Excellent written and spoken English.
– Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related fields; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
– Extensive experience in Finance & Accounting, ideally in shared services or corporate environments.
– Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
– Strong understanding of multi-country and multi-currency operations.
– Deep knowledge of AP, AR/O2C, R2R and GL processes.
– Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar) and advanced Excel or BI tools.
– Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Leadership mindset with a focus on collaboration, quality and continuous improvement.

WORKING CONDITIONS
– Monday to Friday, daytime schedule.
– Weekends off.
