Objective:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager for B&B HOTELS Spain & Portugal, the Buyer manages and supports the achievement of strategic objectives in the purchasing and procurement departments, contributing to the continuous development of the business.

The role focuses on comprehensive supply chain management and cost optimization for the hotel network:

Responsibilities

Category & Market Management

* Manage and optimize assigned purchasing categories. * Monitor the market to identify potential suppliers and price/innovation trends.

Supplier Relations

*
Sourcing, negotiation,
bid analysis, qualification, selection, and performance monitoring. * Manage quality or service incidents at the chain level with suppliers.

Project Procurement

* Lead hotel opening projects from a procurement perspective. * Manage purchasing activities related to renovations and new projects.

Logistics & Control

* Track orders and ensure on-time deliveries. * Update internal databases with details of suppliers, contracts, and negotiation results.

Internal Support & Analysis

* Analyze key ratios to evaluate deviations, define corrective actions, and monitor action plans with hotel managers. * Provide information/training to hotel managers on purchasing and implementation projects. * Develop documentation for the department (procedures, instructions).


Candidate Requirements

  • Experience:
    Minimum
    3 years
    of experience in similar purchasing/procurement positions.
  • Education (Preferred):
    Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar.
  • Advanced Degree (Required):
    Master's degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Languages:
    Professional proficiency in
    Spanish and English
