Job Opportunity | Data Engineer (Azure) Sector: Automotive Tech Location: Porto Work Model: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite) Language: Fluency in English (mandatory) | Portuguese (nice to have) Important: This role is open only to candidates currently based in Portugal. Applicants must already have legal authorisation to work in Portugal. No visa sponsorship or relocation support is available for this position. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer (Azure) to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that support analytics and data‐driven decision‐making within an Automotive Tech environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines in Azure Integrate data from internal and external sources, both structured and unstructured Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and availability of data solutions Collaborate closely with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to ensure data readiness Implement data quality, governance, security, and monitoring best practices Document data architecture, data flows, and technical decisions. Requirements Degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field Experience as a Data Engineer in Azure cloud environments Hands‐on experience with: Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 Azure SQL Database Azure Databricks Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines) Strong SQL and Python skills (Spark/Scala is a plus) Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams Nice to Have Portuguese language proficiency Azure certifications such as DP‐203 or AZ‐900 Interested?
