People Manager - PortugalGreater Lisbon Area | Confidential SearchUp to €60,000We are supporting a confidential search for a senior People Manager to take full ownership of the people agenda for an established, internationally backed organisation operating in Portugal.This is the most senior people role in the country, offering genuine autonomy, visibility, and influence. Reporting directly to the country lead, you will act as the primary people partner to the leadership team, with responsibility for shaping how people services support the business today and in the future.The organisation is stable, values-led, and internationally connected, with an engaged workforce and a strong foundation already in place. The opportunity lies in building greater structure, insight, and consistency-while preserving the culture that underpins its success.Key themes of the role include:· End-to-end ownership of the People function in Portugal· Senior advisory partnership with the local leadership team· Oversight of people operations, systems, and compliance· Alignment with broader European and global people frameworks· Evolving the function towards a more data-driven, forward-looking modelThis role will suit someone who:· Is a credible, experienced HR generalist ready to "own" a country agenda· Is comfortable operating with autonomy in a matrixed, international environment· Brings strong judgement, pragmatism, and stakeholder confidence· Has a solid understanding of Portuguese employment law· Is fluent in Portuguese and EnglishThis is a rare opportunity to step into a discreet, high-impact leadership role with scope to shape, influence, and leave a lasting mark-within a stable and well-supported international organisation.
