is looking for a
Data Quality & Governance Specialist
to join the Porto-based hub of a world-leading expert in ocean infrastructure and sustainable energy.
In this role, you will not just monitor data; you will design the frameworks that ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across a complex global operation.
Your Mission:
Design and execute
Data Quality management processes
(accuracy, timeliness, and consistency) across master and operational data.
Monitor data quality metrics and establish
KPIs
to drive continuous improvement.
Lead
Data Governance working groups
and committees to drive organizational initiatives.
Collaborate with Data Stewards and Owners to resolve quality issues and align with global standards.
Conduct regular
data audits
and maintain metadata repositories/data dictionaries.
Foster a culture of data stewardship, providing training and guidance to users across the organization.
What You Bring:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in Data Quality or Governance (at least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role).
Expertise:
Proven track record in developing data quality strategies and managing complex data infrastructures.
Tech Stack:
Hands-on experience with tools like
Collibra, Informatica
, or similar platforms, including cloud environments.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's or certifications like
PMP, ITIL, or AWS
are a plus).
Language:
Full professional proficiency in
English
is mandatory for global collaboration.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, creative thinking, and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
