Brand & Social Media Manager

We are the leading ethical AI dataset marketplace and we’re seeking a skilled Brand & Social Media Manager to join our growing team based out of Portugal.
In this role, you will be responsible for expanding Defined.ai’s social media presence, increasing digital brand awareness, and ensuring a consistent brand identity across all channels. You’ll work closely with our corporate and crowd brands, as well as our leadership team, to bring our thought leadership strategy to life globally. Your contributions will be instrumental in establishing Defined.ai as the most relevant name in ethical AI.
You are passionate about communication, branding, and social media, always staying up to date with the latest trends. Your enthusiasm for engaging with audiences and growing an AI brand makes you the perfect fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities: Brand Management : Maintain consistent brand messaging and visuals across all platforms. Oversee the creation of high-quality brand materials and support the development of new assets as needed. Social Media Management : Strategize, manage, and grow Defined.ai’s social media presence across corporate and leadership LinkedIn pages, as well as support expansion into new channels over a multi-year plan. This includes drafting copy, coordinating with designers, and ensuring timely content scheduling. Thought Leadership & Social Listening : Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility by monitoring social media trends and ensuring Defined.ai engages in relevant industry conversations to increase engagement. Cross-Department Collaboration : Work with internal teams (marketing, sales, business development) to align social media and brand strategies with business goals.
Qualifications: Location : Preference for Lisbon-based candidates with a hybrid work schedule (2 days in office minimum); remote candidates based in Portugal will also be considered. Language : Native English proficiency is required. Experience : 4+ years of experience in brand, communication, and/or social media management. Experience in B2B industries or technology sectors is a plus. Experience working with the US market is a strong advantage. Communication Skills : Exceptional writing ability, with strong attention to detail. Organizational Skills : Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex projects. Collaboration : Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and manage remote communication. Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Existing media relations experience and network in the US market. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools for quick image editing. Knowledge of AI technologies and a passion for AI ethics. Internal communication experience is a bonus.

Brand Consistency : Ensuring a unified and consistent brand identity across all touch points, both internally and externally. Proactive opportunities created : Number of high-quality new thought-leadership opportunities created through social media engagement or other platforms. Brand Awareness : The number of impacted people by our brand and message.
