About the role:
Reporting to the Advanced Wound Care (AWC) Regional Sales manager, the AWC Sales Representative is growing the turnover and market share of the Lisbon area. This role involves the implementation of the commercial strategy across two key sectors: the hospital sector (engaging with users, prescribers, and buyers from both public and private institutions, as well as in-home care services and nursing homes) and the community sector (working with independent nurse prescribers, distributors, service providers, and pharmacies).
The Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in educating healthcare professionals, ensuring they are well-informed about the optimal use of our product portfolio.
Additionally, the Sales Representative is responsible for ConvaTec’s corporate image towards healthcare professionals and other stakeholders in the area.
Candidates must be based in the Lisbon metropolitan area.
Main responsibilities:
Community Engagement
Prospect and develop priority targets (HCPs - MDs, Nursing Staff, Pharmacists)
Stir and grow the community Health Care Centers business for AWC
Set and manage professional meetings
Hospital Relations
Prospect and develop priority targets (KOLs, Decisors, Purchasers, HCPs)
Set-up information sessions for the hospital staff
Drive sales negotiations, prepare and manage tenders with the key stakeholders
Create and develop professional connections with opinion leaders in cooperation with ConvaTec Medical Department
Cross-Sector Initiatives
Promote products and solutions of the ConvaTec AWC portfolio
Roll-out action plans and campaigns
Drive and report the activity in the CRM tool
Capture and transmit vigilance alerts
Maintain an awareness of competitive activities
Main contacts
Healthcare professionals (prescribers and purchasers) of hospital and community segments
Hospital Pharmacists, Nurses, Medical Doctors for AWC
ConvaTec Iberia central teams (marketing, medical, regulatory affairs)
Profile
Scientific academic background or Healthcare sciences graduation are appreciated
At least 2-years of experience in a sales role in healthcare or other sales business sectors
Experience with medical devices and prescription market will be appreciated
Autonomy and agility

Availability to travel
English and Spanish at intermediate level
Key competencies
