Your mission

We are a leading blockchain asset custody platform, committed to providing secure and reliable services to our clients. Our mission is to leverage data to enhance our processes and drive informed decision-making across various stakeholders. As we expand our team, we are looking for a passionate Senior Data Engineer with a strong focus on data streaming to join us in building robust data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. Our techstack includes AWS, Postgres, and Kafka.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data streaming pipelines and architectures in the AWS cloud

  • Lead the implementation of real-time data processing and streaming to ensure timely and accurate data delivery to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions to enhance business processes

  • Implement data models, schemas, and integrations to ensure data accuracy and availability in a streaming context

  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes with a strong emphasis on streaming data

  • Ensure data security and compliance at all times, leveraging company best practices

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data streaming pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and performance

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer at a Staff or Senior level, with a strong background in data streaming, AWS, Postgres, and Kafka

  • Good knowledge of Bash scripting

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and database design in a streaming environment

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, or a similar language

  • Experience with data streaming tools and frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Kinesis, Flink, or similar

  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and its implications for data management is a plus

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in blockchain asset custody or cryptocurrency

  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data security

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Quicksight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
