Data Engineering Lead
Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Architect, or a similar role in a data environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, etc.
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers in designing and implementing data schemas, databases, processing systems, and data pipelines.
- Work closely with data architects and other stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are met.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and other related technologies.
- Develop strategies for data resource management, data modelling, and other data related activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in combination with technical savvy to make good decisions in a dynamic environment;
- Proactivity, dynamism and adaptability to change;
- Willingness to learn new technologies and processes;
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
- Ensure the team adheres to industry best practices and maintain data integrity and security.
- Able to design and optimize software taking into account scalability and performance
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environment, and multi-task
- Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory)
