The role

Reporting to the IT Security Operations Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that IWG infrastructure and network is designed and implemented following security industry best practices. You will oversee the highest standards of delivery and execution, ensuring the correct processes around security are defined and followed, and implementing new tools to ensure IWG global infrastructure is compliant with the security policies defined. In addition, taking care of critical security incidents, proactively looking for improvements in processes and technical operational procedures that will decrease IT risks and downtimes, and take the lead in implementing strategic security projects globally.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are seeking someone who combines a track record in defining the appropriated framework and governance models in security for global companies, with expertise in implementing security audit tools, running risk assessments and recommending remediation plans.

You will need to be proactive and take accountability, having an analytical mindset to identify current gaps and pain points and convert them into improvement actions, always looking to have a continuous service improvement way of thinking, operating at the heart of our Global IT team and playing a leading role in delivering a first-class digital experience for IWG and our customers.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's security infrastructure and network systems. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization's network and data assets. Oversee the management and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other security devices. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential security threats. Lead incident response and investigation efforts in the event of a security breach or incident. Stay abreast of the latest security technologies and trends, and make recommendations for improvements to the organization's security posture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated into all aspects of the organization's infrastructure and operations. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the security and network team members. Manage the 3rd party technical relationships for IT Security Operations.  Manage governance and compliance features in Microsoft 365 Define roadmaps based on on-going knowledge of the Microsoft 365 security features.  Support the implementation of IT Security programs for Microsoft, improvements and remediations, working on where improvements are needed to improve the IT Security for IWG business services and applications.  Actively measure providers security gaps and initiates actions to close these gaps.  Manage governance and compliance features in Microsoft 365, AD & Azure AD.

Qualifications/Experience:

University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computing Engineering or similar education. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure security is required plus strong technical expertise In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.. Strong understanding of data centres and clouds from a security perspective. Knowledge of the Azure cloud platform is a significant plus. Experience defining and implementing security policies, standards & processes, and running network security risk assessments in global companies Preference for at least one current recognized security professional certification such as CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA or ISO 27001 Auditor Demonstrate leadership and adaptability, with willingness to readily take ownership of highly challenging tasks and problems, even beyond initial scope of responsibility. Pragmatic, common sense attitude and strong attention to detail required. Has worked in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and can deliver results to demanding time scales in an ambiguous environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Low ego, high on delivery. Must be prepared to ‘get hands dirty’ and be actively Involved / personally contribute.
