Our client is an internationally active industrial technology company and a leading provider of intelligent systems for energy, data and positioning transmission in mobile industrial applications. As a long-established, family-owned organisation with a strong global footprint, the company combines engineering excellence, innovation and quality with a collaborative, people-oriented culture. For its Portuguese market organisation based near Lisbon , the company is seeking a Sales Director (m/f/d) Portugal . In this role, you will assume full profit and loss responsibility for the local entity, act as the central contact for all sales activities in Portugal and further develop the business in close cooperation with international teams across the group. Your Responsibilities Full responsibility for the commercial performance (P&L) of the Portuguese organisation Leadership and development of a small local team of 3 people covering sales, internal sales and administrative functions Market development and expansion of the existing customer base in Portugal Management of sales pipeline, projects and forecasts using CRM and ERP systems Development of pricing, margin and commercial terms strategies Responsibility for local go-to-market activities and the expansion of a partner network Close collaboration with headquarters functions and regional sales management Cross-border cooperation with international sales teams for globally active customers Regular reporting on pipeline development, competitive landscape and business risks Your Profile Technical degree or technical vocational training with a solid technical background Several years of experience in technical B2B sales within complex, solution-oriented environments Ability to communicate confidently across all hierarchical levels, including senior management, R&D and service teams Experience in managing customer portfolios, new customer acquisition and cross-selling Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and independent working style Native Portuguese speaker with fluent English; additional languages are an advantage Confident user of CRM systems, ERP systems and MS Office International mindset and strong networking capabilities, both locally and across group structures Management experience is an advantage but not mandatory; the role has a clear focus on sales Your Advantages Joining a market-leading, German family-owned company with a strong long-term perspective; the owning family remains actively involved at advisory level Stable and professional governance with operational leadership in place for more than 12 years A close-knit, people-oriented culture: long employee tenure (Ø 15 years), strong identification with the company and a genuine “one team” mindset across countries Structured onboarding including a company car onboarding plan and clear support during the first months Continuous learning and development opportunities through the internal Academy, with a strong focus on talent development and future skills A profitable business that continues to grow despite challenging political and economic conditions, especially in its international entities Strong backing by a financially solid group, including significant long-term investments in modernising operations Shape the future of a growing industrial business in Portugal – combining technical expertise, sales excellence and international collaboration.
