Practice Area – Global Markets & Finance (Corporate & Investment Banking) In an increasingly complex and regulated environment, Global Markets & Finance functions play a central role in the performance, stability and control of Corporate & Investment Banking activities. These functions sit at the crossroads of Front Office, Risk, Finance, Market Operations and IT, ensuring accurate financial information, robust control frameworks and effective decision-making across trading activities and products. TNP supports leading international CIB institutions across the full Global Markets & Finance value chain, including Product Control, Market Operations, Finance transformation, valuation and reserves, risk-finance interfaces and regulatory-driven change. Our consultants intervene on both run-the-bank and transformation initiatives, combining strong functional expertise with delivery excellence in complex, multi-location environments. Your role – Consulting assignment & TNP contribution As a Global Markets Product Controller, you will be deployed on consulting assignments within TNP’s Corporate & Investment Banking clients, where you will integrate client teams in a Product Control role and contribute directly to the daily production, control and analysis of Trading P&Ls. Beyond client delivery, you are also expected to play an active role in the development of TNP’s TRUST business line. In parallel with your assignments, you will contribute to TNP’s intellectual capital by collaborating with our Western European offices (France, Luxembourg, Germany and Italy) to strengthen our market positioning and thought leadership in Global Markets, Risk and Finance. Contributing responsibilities In addition to your core responsibilities at client sites, you will: Support global and local client projects related to: Market Operations and Product Control process improvements P&L methodologies, controls and governance Systems migrations and functional transformations Contribute to the development of TNP TRUST – Risk Management, by: Participating in cross-office initiatives with TNP teams in France, Luxembourg, Germany and Italy Producing or contributing to white papers, research notes, articles and thought-leadership content in the areas of Global Markets, Product Control, Risk and Finance Sharing market practices, regulatory insights and lessons learned from client assignments Actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing, methodologies and best practices within the TNP Global Markets & Finance community Propose initiatives to improve productivity, quality and delivery standards, both for clients and within TNP What you bring Experience & education 3 to 10 years of experience in Product Control / P&L within Global Markets (investment bank or consulting) Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field Professional certifications (CFA, FRM, CA or equivalent) are a plus Product & technical knowledge Strong understanding of Global Markets products , including: Equities and Equity Derivatives Bonds and Fixed Income Interest Rates and FX products Solid knowledge of pricing models and valuation concepts Strong proficiency with MS Office , especially Excel Core competencies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail, with the ability to identify abnormal processes, unusual prices, dividends or market data issues Strong understanding of controls, reconciliations and escalation frameworks Behavioural & transversal skills Strong communication skills, particularly with Front Office stakeholders Ability to work in partnership with Trading while maintaining an independent control mindset Decision-making capability in fast-paced environments Adaptability to change (new systems, products, booking models, activities) Result-oriented and resilient under pressure Ability to collaborate with remote and international teams Capacity to develop, adapt and improve processes Ability to understand, explain and support change Where you’ll be based Lisbon or Porto International consulting environment with exposure to Global Markets desks and cross-border teams Potential short-term assignments abroad depending on project needs What we offer High-impact assignments with leading international investment banks A collaborative, demanding and supportive consulting environment Continuous learning and career development opportunities Competitive compensation package with performance-based components International exposure and mobility opportunities Additional information TNP Consultants is an equal opportunity employer.
