ABOUT IMPROVE
Improve International was established in 1998 by a group of veterinary surgeons from across the UK. We run Continuous Professional Development training from veterinary professionals to help develop the skills and knowledge required in practice.
Our programmes utilise a combination of review lectures, case-based discussion and, where applicable, hands-on practical sessions. Within Improve we also have the function of 'The International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS)'.

This function is dedicated to providing veterinary surgeons, nurses and technicians with high quality, achievable qualifications that are recognised internationally.

We are an international organisation with offices in the UK and Portugal.

JOB PURPOSE

As the worldwide market leader in veterinary postgraduate education, we are recruiting a
CPD Advisor to help us on the next stage of our journey.

You will positively represent and promote the Improve International portfolio of CPD training programmes whilst maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers to increase the purchase of Improve International programmes and sales basket spend.

You will also contact new and potential customers to grow income and drive new collaborative business opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pro-active and timely follow up of sales enquiries.
Record all sales enquiries effectively and ensure they are all monitored effectively in CRM system.
Build, foster and grow positive working relationships with both new and existing customers.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and close business sales opportunities.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.
Promote the range of Improve International programmes and products.

Report sales and progress to your line manager, and where appropriate directly to the business support staff at team meetings.

Liaise and meet regularly with your line manager to meet budget and sales targets for each programme.

This role will also require regular liaison and working with operations and marketing to ensure correct information is provided to all customers and to synchronise product marketing and sales plans to ensure the field readiness and success of sales calls.

Work closely with the management team to maintain position, commitment, and cultural values of the organisation.
Provide support, where necessary, at any conference, tradeshows, or events, domestic and/or internationally and with weekends sales.

REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience of successfully working in customer care or a sales environment.
Proven experience of selling, hitting sales, or similar, targets.
Strong focus on the customer and delivering a great experience.
Knowledge of core principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
Experience of, or an interest in, education and the veterinary industry.
Always focussed on exceeding targets. Taking ownership and accountability.
Reliable, right attitude and willingness to learn.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills, in French & Portuguese, with the ability to also converse in English. Any other languages are desirable.
Good timekeeping skills and able to work to tight deadlines with attention to detail.
Energetic and committed to delivery of a successful business.
A passion for delivering customer care promises.

Fixed Term (6-9 months)

Annual Leave Entitlement:22 days plus public holidays (pro-rata)

Weekly Hours: 40 hours a week - Full time
