A significant global pharmaceutical company established by Samih Darwazah more than four decades ago in Jordan, Hikma's primary goal is to deliver cost-effective, high-quality medications to those in need. In the late 1980s, our reach extended beyond the Middle East as we acquired real estate in Portugal to establish a state-of-the-art facility for the production of injectable pharmaceuticals. This move marked a pivotal moment for the company, serving as our initial foray into a new region. Presently, in Portugal, we boast a workforce exceeding 1000 employees and operate three manufacturing plants for injectable medications, with ongoing expansions.

Since 2005, the Group has been listed on the London Stock Exchange post a successful initial public offering, bolstering our capacity to expand the business through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Within Europe, Hikma stands as one of the top players in the field of Generic Injectable pharmaceuticals and maintains a presence in nine European nations.

Hikma is seeking to appoint a Manager, Product Launch & Commercial Operations - EU (m/f) for on-site responsibilities, to join our Commercial Department and actively contribute to the development of Hikma's European business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead new product launch initiatives in Europe, collaborating closely with local sales teams, Hikma Operations, and Third-Party suppliers
  • Coordinate the demand for EU markets, acting as the liaison between the EU region and the Supply Chain of various Hikma and external sites, with a focus on enhancing flexibility and optimizing manufacturing capacity allocation
  • Lead the Demand Planning of the European Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Streamline EU commercial procedures and convene cross-functional team meetings to ensure project alignment and progress tracking
  • Generate data analysis specific to the EU, compile project reports and trackers
  • Deliver presentations to Management teams on pertinent projects
  • Collaborate closely with Country Heads, Business Development & Portfolio teams to maintain consistent communication across all fronts
  • Offer logistical and operational support to the EU commercial team, particularly for new territories

Profile:

  • Degree in a Technical discipline or Business Management (Minimum requirement)
  • MBA (Preferred)
  • Over 5 years of experience in commercial operations or launch management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities
  • Solid business acumen, sales proficiency, and analytical skills
  • Decisive and goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong leadership capabilities, inclusive of managing indirect reports and cross-functional teams
  • Proactive approach and adept at fostering positive stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to operate under pressure, multitasking effectively across multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English; knowledge of Spanish considered a bonus
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
