The Head of Department position will be available to applicants with suitable experience, skill and vision.

The Head of MFL is responsible for all mainstream language acquisition curricula within the school (apart from English).


French is currently an option at Key Stage 3, at iGCSE (CIE specification) and as part of the IB Diploma Programme as 'French B'.

Spanish is similarly an option at Key Stage 3 and iGCSE, and available as both 'Spanish B' and 'Spanish ab initio' within our IBDP.

In Portuguese, there are specific language acquisition classes from Portuguese as a Foreign Language is offered at iGCSE. 'Portuguese B' is offered as part of the IB Diploma programme. The successful applicant will need to be able to teach Spanish up to IB Diploma level.

All staff at ParK IS are actively involved in the pastoral life of school. The role will also offer the opportunity for contribution to co-curricular clubs and enrichment.
