PORTUGUESE SPEAKING PURCHASER SPECIALIST - PORTO, PORTUGAL


Our client in the industrial and pharmaceutical field is seeking a Portuguese speaking Purchaser Specialist to join their Purchasing Department close to Porto, reporting directly to the Group's CEO.

As Purchaser, you will be responsible to make sure all components are being ordered and received on time. Together with 2 colleagues, you will be working within an international group of companies.

The day to day job will consist out of creating purchase proposals & orders, contact with international suppliers to improve agreements and performances, and working together with other departments to reach the best possible delivery performances.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing purchase orders on a daily basis to cover internal needs;
  • Create, manage and maintain supplier relations.
  • Implementing & analysing supplier contracts on a regular basis.
  • Setting up supplier assessments & performance reports.
  • Actively make proposals to the management to improve supplier performance.
  • Looking ahead, see challenges in the future and proactively solve the problem before it occurs, together with related departments.
  • Timely reporting and monitoring of the internally established KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Good in Portuguese and English, both in speech and writing;
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening;
  • Affinity with software like Microsoft ;
  • Affinity with numbers & financials;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Proactive work attitude and willing to improve performances;
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
  • Capable to work under (time) pressure;
  • Process oriented
  • Customer & solution oriented
  • Organised and ability to organise own work load in balance with the direct team and ongoing projects;
  • Ability to collaborate with mid and senior management across the business;
  • Ability to multitask & work independently on tasks under high time pressure;
  • Enthusiastic personality, with capability to communicate in an open and direct way.
