Galp Marketing International (GMI) Business Development Specialist

MISSION


As part of our International Commercial Unit (Galp companies present in the African market in the downstream business), specifically in the Marketing & Business Development team, this person will have the mission of being the HQ support center for the business development components for GMI's multichannel, multiproduct and multibrand operations across five markets and Exports Division commercial activities, promoting the development of the legacy activities while addressing new businesses opportunities and ways of capturing added value for GMI.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Identify specific areas of business development (legacy and new products and services) across GMI's five geographies and lubricants exports;
  • Support the development of new business models and gotomarket strategies (developing inhouse, partnership, joint venture, acquisition) to tackle the potential markets and opportunities;
  • Coordinate technical and economic evaluation of development initiatives across GMI's five geographies and exports division;
  • Assess attractiveness of new potential markets and business opportunities, with identification and evaluation of success cases, top innovators and key drivers for success;
  • Ensure GMI strategy update working closely with local and corporate teams and identifying any relevant market events as an input for a business plan review;
  • Stay uptodate in knowledge of all new business projects and tools at Galp's ecosystem and continuously assess what can be implemented in GMI operations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Minimum 5 years of business experience, specifically in business development areas;
  • A master's degree in Economics and/or Business Administration and Marketing or a related field
  • Preference for developing marketing strategies on consumers behaviors and trends;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Financial analysis;
  • Availability to travel;
  • Product development skills;
  • Analytical skills focused on the solution and the customer;
  • Fluent English, both verbally and written;
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability and confidence to connect well with businesses partners, advisors and senior stakeholders from other countries and cultures;
  • Passionate and ambitious selfstarter, taking ownership of projects, with a strong drive for excellence;
  • Independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of alternative solutions;
  • Team player, resilient and with strong business and personal ethics.
