What does this position entail?

As a CNC surface or profile grinder, you are regarded as an expert in your field. You will work in our advanced grinding department, where there is a constant investment in new technologies. Your task is to deliver precise work, primarily for unique items or small series. Given the variation in products and materials, every day is different. Each day brings new challenges that allow you to employ your creativity. You will work with control systems from Fanuc and/or Siemens.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting work discussions with the production manager or team leader is essential to ensure a clear workflow and scheduling;
  • Determining the sequence of operations, fixture, and selecting the appropriate grinding wheels based on drawings and work instructions, as well as retrieving and setting up programs on the machine.
  • If necessary, programming of CNC machines is also performed;
  • Postprocessing of products (deburring) and inspecting both your own work and that of colleagues with the appropriate measuring instruments to check complex products;
  • Identifying deviations and correcting them in consultation with colleagues;
  • Proposing improvements to ensure and enhance quality.

  • You have completed a technical education;
  • You are a citizen of the European Union;
  • You have a driver's license;
  • Experience as a grinder is a requirement;
  • Extensive knowledge of materials;
  • Welldeveloped spatial awareness;
  • You can interpret (complex) drawings;
  • Practical and structured; you are both a thinker and a doer;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
What are the employment conditions?

  • A workweek consists of four days with working hours from 08:00 to 18:00, meaning a long weekend every week.
  • The salary ranges from €2,300 to €4,500 gross per month for a fulltime workweek;
  • If desired, we offer accommodation with a private bedroom for €49 per week, including utilities such as gas, water, electricity, and internet. We also provide (shared) transportation when needed;
  • Overtime is compensated at a rate of 180%;
  • Travel expenses to work are reimbursed;
  • Our goal is to achieve impressive results together, with the ambition to offer a permanent contract in the long term.
