Location: PortugalSodecia Group is recruiting a Lead Controls to join Sodecia GTAC in Europe.Main Responsibilities:Set goals, develop and maintain equipment build schedules for project launchesProject management within cost and time constrained environmentsResponsible to be part of quoting team, programming structure and process flow.Ability to implement standard engineering practices as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completionOrder parts and materials as requiredBuild projects as designedDevelop, install and teach all PLC programming as requiredDesign and develop new systemsMaintain and modify existing systemsWork collaboratively with internal staff to ensure success of all projectsLiaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authoritiesTroubleshooting and problem-solvingProve internal PSR and PSHSR on all equipment to ensure safety to industry standardsUnderstanding and ensuring compliance with the health and safety regulations and quality standards of the country in which work is undertakenProviding advice and consultancy supportEnsure company machinery guidelines are followedTest poke-yoke, weld schedules, steppers and documents to ensure repeatabilityDevelop and/or assist with new business proposalsAccept responsibility and level of accountability proportionate with the seniority of the positionPerform other duties as required by your ManagerSkills Profile:University Degree or College Diploma in specialized field of Electronics, Mechanical or other applicable area of EngineeringMinimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position and/or work with or launching programs in the automotive or related industry experienceUnderstanding of all aspects related to manufacturing of Automotive stamping, welding, processing and automationGood understanding of the production environment, good analytical and math skillsDesign and layout, bill of materials and wiring schematic capabilitiesProven experience in PLC logic and programming with PLC’s including, but not limited to Allen Bradley, Siemens, BeckhoffOutstanding verbal and written communication, with excellent organizational skillsMust be able to work independently and in team setting and ask for expertise of others when neededCapable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain timing deadlinesGood understanding of all Microsoft applicationsWhat we Offer:Excellent work conditionsTravel required in and out of the country as defined by project requirements and as requested by managementReport to Plant ManagerWill also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
