Role Purpose
The Payroll Manager ensures accurate, timely payroll processing across all Portuguese locations, leading a team to uphold compliance and drive improvements. This role collaborates with HR and finance, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule, supporting operational excellence and employee engagement.
What you will be doing
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness for all employees.Verify payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports, including tax filings, audits, and other required documentation.Manage and develop the payroll team, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback.Set clear goals and expectations, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Safety, Security, WellBeing and Compliance:
You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.Proven experience in payroll management, ideally within a multinational or large-scale environment.Experience leading and developing a team, with a track record of process improvement.High accuracy and thoroughness in processing payroll and managing payroll data.Strong verbal and written skills for clear communication with employees, stakeholders, and team members.Diversity
