Job Description

Ferring Pharmaceuticals, a leader in reproductive and women's health, gastroenterology, and urology, seeks an experienced Global Payroll Operations Manager to join our international team.

About the Role:

  • Manage payroll data for multiple countries, primarily across European and Asia Pacific regions.
  • Evaluate and implement new payroll systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance payroll processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  2. Reconciliation and validation of payroll reports.
  3. Understanding taxation of employer-paid benefits.
  4. Implementation of new Payroll systems when needed.
  5. Interface with payroll providers as required.
  6. Compliance checks and audits.
  7. Month-end/year-end reporting when necessary.
  8. Ad hoc financial and operational reporting.
  9. Management of third-party payments and reporting.
  10. Resolution of employee queries.
  11. Adherence to SOP/policies.
  12. Continuous improvement of payroll processes.
  13. Serving as a contact point for external/ internal auditors.
  14. Preparation, evaluation, presentation, and optimization of complex HR reports.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Payroll experience, preferably in a shared services or COE model.
  • Knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Strong confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability to a changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict resolution abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Workday.

Location: Ferring Service Center Portugal

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is €55,000 - €65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
