Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Project Manager to join our team in Portugal. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for supporting the transition of our payroll function and roadmap.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to quickly learn new areas. They will work closely with the vendor and internal operations, end-user's community, and IT staff to analyze business functional requirements against system functionality.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a key liaison between business users and the vendor to ensure written documentation, including functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop test procedures, test scenarios, and test cases; complete test scripts; and document and communicate the results.
  • Assess impact of change requests and provide level of effort estimates.
  • Manage assigned projects, including conducting requirements and design sessions, obtaining resources, setting milestones, reporting project status.
  • Highlight any risks, issues, and plan mitigation actions as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Interact and connect with project team members to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of system updates and modifications into production.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of payroll project management experience.
  • Experience working with global payroll vendors and with in-house solutions.
  • In-depth global payroll knowledge.
  • Knowledge of integration points with Payroll and other third-party systems such as Oracle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver updates to key stakeholders and the payroll teams.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
