What You Will Do Contribute to the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to identify test requirementsDesign, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests to validate the functionality of our software productsCreate comprehensive test plans and implement effective test strategies.
Create test cases and test data based on functional and non-functional requirementsIdentify, analyze, and document software defects, and track their resolution in an issue-tracking systemConduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvementsWork closely with development teams to investigate and resolve issues ensuring the delivery of high-quality softwareStay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and test automationLiaise with the product team to understand product changes and steer quality initiativesProvide support during the deployment and maintenance stages of the software development life cycleMentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement What You Will Bring To succeed in this role, you will need a combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.
Required Qualifications Post-secondary degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with an emphasis on automation testingFamiliarity with cloud-based testing environments, primarily AWSAdvanced scripting skills in JavaScriptExpertise in test automation frameworks such as JEST or similarProficiency in test automation tools such as Playwright or similarKnowledge of test automation frameworks such as Artillery or JMeterKnowledge of RESTful web services and database systemsSolid grasp of version control systems like GitComprehensive knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and best practicesProven ability to quickly learn & adapt independentlyExcellent problem-solving skills & attention to detailStrong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsMust be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is locatedMust be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.Preferred Qualifications Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentFamiliarity with agile software development methodologies and practicesExperience with performance and security testing considered an assetKnowledge of financial or accounting software preferred Why join?
