We are excited to announce the search for a dynamic and driven Sales Manager focusing on Pet Food , to join the ambitious team of our client, a pioneering company in the Pet Food industry .
About the Role: As a Sales Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the pet food sector. Your role will involve:
Lead the development and execution of the already opened or prospect national and regional customers short- and long-term strategies which optimizes profitability and sales revenue and achieves company, category, and customer objectives. Both channels' PS & Grocery.
Boost the listing of Inaba products through Grocery and PS specific customers. Being accountable to acquire new customers.
Develop a good understanding of the customer's environment, external trends, competitors, and current and future needs leveraged to build shopper-centric customer plans which drive mutual growth.
Develop consistently accurate and timely forecasts using a variety of inputs from both consumption and shipment perspective, adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
Lead the development and execution of customer-specific solutions, e.g., assortment, merchandising, pricing, and promotion which achieve customer, category, and business objectives. Budget optimization.
Drive the most relevant customer PT agenda and develop strong and influential relationships with key customers focused on delivering shopper, channel, and category-centric solutions which accelerate customer engagement.
Evaluate and monitor customer initiatives to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness for both customer and company.
Manage local price architecture. Manage pricing and listing for current portfolio and new product launches with timely and effective execution to maximize customer impact in the marketplace.
Manage customer/market P&L and trade investment that complies with internal and external requirements.
Support Iberia Country Manager with the market and people strategy.
Regarding People, manage the creation of a sales team once the business allows it.
People agenda: Setting & measuring Smart goals, planning People & Development Process.
Your Profile: University degree in Marketing, Sales, ADE, or similar. Studies in Veterinary will be valuable.
+10 years of professional background with sales management (FMCG company preferred but could be laboratories or Petcare industry).
+3 years of professional background leading teams.
Good knowledge of Office tools (especially Excel/PowerPoint) and management of Nielsen tools (Answers, MSA Planograms or similar) is appreciated.
Demonstrable ability to adapt to a changing market and competitive landscape.
Ability to lead and motivate a sales team towards achieving sales objectives.
Experience with clients of different types and sizes: distributors, regional and national retailers. Demonstrable contacts at the main FDM players and knowledge of Petcare.
Team player with a strong desire to contribute to the company's growth in the Portugal Market.
