About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Growth Manager to spearhead our expansion in the local market in Portugal.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse sales team dedicated to identifying key prospects, acquiring new clients, and driving market share growth.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in the payments industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of payment solutions, market trends, and the needs of businesses in this space.
They should be a proactive, results-oriented professional who excels in building relationships and navigating fast-paced, competitive environments.
Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Head of Sales .
Your Key responsibilities are:   Market Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of payabl.
's payment products and services, effectively communicating their value to prospective merchants in the local market.  Sales Development: Identify and drive new business opportunities through both traditional and digital sales channels.  Market Research: Conduct thorough research to uncover new markets and understand merchant needs within the assigned region.  Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in target industries, gaining insights to maximize sales performance.  Business Development: Lead sales presentations, negotiate contracts, onboard clients, and support their journey with payabl.  Lead Generation: Proactively prospect and nurture leads through outbound channels to build a robust pipeline.  Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams within payabl.

B2B Sales Experience – You bring at least 2 years of experience in B2B sales within payments, fintech, or related technology sectors.
Proactive & Resourceful – You're a self-starter, leveraging lead generation tools and building a robust network to drive sales.
Organized & Efficient – You manage multiple priorities with ease and are highly motivated to stay on track and achieve your goals.
Results-Driven – You're commercially focused and take pride in consistently surpassing sales performance metrics.
Strong Negotiator – You have a proven track record of closing deals and handling complex negotiations with confidence and skill.
Track Record of Success – You have consistently exceeded sales targets and are driven to keep pushing the needle further.
Flexible & On the Move – You're willing to travel for networking events, client meetings, and business opportunities to create new growth avenues.
Exceptional Communicator – You possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and you're comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

Hiring Process: Step 1: Initial Interview  – A 30-40 min conversation with our Talent Acquisition team to explore your experience and career goals.
Step 2: In-Depth Discussion  – A 60-minute deep dive with the Hiring Manager, the Head of Sales, to assess your skills and alignment with the role.
Step 3: Final Behavioral Interview  – A team-fit assessment with our Head of Talent Acquisition and Group Chief Growth Officer of Acquiring ensuring a strong cultural and strategic match.
