About CoW DAO
CoW DAO is on a mission to protect Ethereum users from the dangers of DeFi. It does this by supporting the development of CoW Protocol, CoW Swap, MEV Blocker, and CoW AMM, and by funding values-aligned projects through the CoW Grants Program.
CoW Protocol is the second-largest DEX aggregator by monthly volume and the first-largest intents-based exchange. MEV Blocker is currently involved in ~4% of all Ethereum transactions, making it the category leader. CoW AMM is the only live AMM that protects LPs from LVR (loss-versus rebalancing).
As a member of CoW DAO's core team, you will have the opportunity to shape these essential products and contribute to the Ethereum ecosystem more broadly.
About the role
CoW DAO is looking for a hungry, outgoing, and resourceful community manager to join its marketing team. You will cultivate, engage, and grow our community across various platforms while building meaningful relationships within the broader DeFi space.
What you'll do
Become an expert on CoW DAO's products and their audiences.
Cultivate community for each of CoW DAO's products, and for CoW DAO as a whole, in whichever way you think is most effective at any moment in time.
Manage the structure of the CoW DAO forum, Discord, and Telegram pages.
Engage the community in these channels, and on X (plus any other channels we may decide are relevant to us in the future), with helpful information and witty commentary.
Own CoW DAO's presence at conferences like Devcon and EthCC – including full event production (i.e. identifying and contracting venues, managing the production of swag and event collateral, securing speaking opportunities, organizing people on the ground, etc.).
Host Twitter/X spaces from time to time; run any other event that may foster community.
Proselytize CoW DAO products and propositions within the community spaces of other crypto projects – generally be scrappy about getting the word out in ways that may or may not scale.
Be 'very online' with crypto topics and communities, in general; identify opportunities for reactive (and planned-reactive) content to come from CoW DAO's social accounts.
Develop and maintain close relationships with members of the 'secret intern cabal that definitely doesn't exist' and support collaboration across projects.
Contribute to CoW DAO's tone guidelines.
Assist with customer service requests.
Funnel product and feature requests from the community to the CoW DAO product team.
Identify areas of misunderstanding specific to our products and work with the content team to clarify these misunderstandings with new pieces of content or new narratives.
Engage in "soft BD" – convince people to use our products when talking to them, identify and funnel high-value leads to the right teams internally, etc.
Support CoW DAO's operations team with various governance and grants-related tasks, as needed.
Regularly analyze and report on the performance of your work, while suggesting ways to improve our community, social, and events output.
Who you are
Experienced and understanding of the ins and outs in managing community platforms (Discord, Telegram, forums) and engaging users across social channels (Twitter/X, etc.).
Experience in Crypto or, ideally, DeFi (with a strong understanding of the ecosystem).
Capable of writing quirky/witty copy full of personality, in English.
Outgoing and prolific.
Entrepreneurial – excited to identify and act on opportunities for impact with minimal oversight.
Knows how to read Etherscan.
Data driven as a way of learning and improving performance over time.
Strong social awareness with a keen ability to gauge audience reactions and sentiments across language and cultural barriers.
Bonus points if you:
Are a user of one of CoW DAO's products.
Have experience organizing events and promotions (e.g., Devcon, EthCC), managing venues, swag, and speaking opportunities, and handling on-the-ground logistics.
