People Services is one of the core service towers in Global Business Services (GBS) where we support all AstraZeneca colleagues across the globe with HR and People related processes from hire to retire. We assist employees and managers with HR queries and support, own the strategy and delivery of pay and time, manage end-to-end job changes, support our HR Centres of Excellence with everything from interview scheduling, candidate screening, offer/contract generation, New Employee Onboarding, Reward and Benefit processes and global mobility. We partner and heavily influence digital strategies and are subject matter experts in Workday, ServiceNow and beyond. In this role you will be responsible for providing a first line support to our Employees and Line Managers to HR specific queries across multiple geographical areas . You will be part of the vibrant, global team of GBS / HR professionals based in one of our global HUBs (Lisbon, Guadalajara, Warsaw, Chennai and Kuala Lumpur). Together with all teams across People Services, your aim will be to deliver best in class HR service delivery to 80,000+ AstraZeneca colleagues across the globe.
Typical Accountabilities
Works within a team to deliver day-to-day advice & guidance on HR related questions, policies administration & interpretation (e.g. recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee relations, etc)

Acts as a single point of contact and takes the ownership for the case resolution, trying to identify the proper response in a most quick & efficient way

Play a key connecting role in service delivery between GBS PS Towers (Advice & Guidance, Workforce Data Services, Talent Acquisition Operations, and Global Payroll & Time)

Propose automation and simplification of processes

Applies enterprise thinking where Advice & Guidance is partner of choice for our customers

Manages own tasks and operates independently to interpret, diagnose and resolve identified problems, escalating only complex issues for resolution

Assists line managers to understand, interpret and apply HR policies, including providing the ground support in the execution of HR delivery in own specialist area

Works within defined guidelines and policies, applying judgement to their application, this role will also identify issues with current processes and provide input on proposed changes to enhance effectiveness of HR delivery

Under direction, provides HR support to assist with the communication of change

Responsible for service performance and mitigate issues (within the Tower)

Delivering on SLA, C-SAT and other quality data

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Professional HR qualification

Fluent spoken and written English and local language

Experience with emerging HR digital/automation tools

Experience with Workday, ServiceNow

Experience/comfort in working with and managing Employees and Line Managers across multiple locations and business areas

Knowledge of regional labor legislation
