Offer Description Development and optimisation of eco-extraction processes.
Characterisation and quantification of active biomolecules.
Molecular-scale functional studies.
Scientific development and partnerships.
Selection and implementation of innovative techniques for extracting active ingredients from marine and plant biomasses.
Reducing the environmental impact of extraction processes.
Implementation of analytical methods (LC-MS, HPLC, NMR, etc.) to identify and quantify biomolecules of interest.
Development of protocols for the purification of target molecules.
Analysis of the structure-function interactions of active biomolecules.
Evaluation of the biological activities of extracts and purified molecules (in vitro).
Drafting of reports, scientific articles and technical aids.
Working closely with project partners to ensure technology transfer.
The BCBS team at UMR LIENSs (La Rochelle University) is involved in the ANTI-INFECT-NAT project, which explores alternative solutions to synthetic molecules for combating infectious diseases. The project focuses on the eco-responsible extraction of active ingredients from marine and plant biomass. The candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team interacting with industrial and academic partners, in an environment equipped with modern analytical chemistry and biotechnology infrastructures.
Technical Skills Expertise in extraction processes and eco-extraction technologies.
Mastery of analytical tools (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR) and biochemical characterisation techniques.
Experience in purification and structure-function studies of biomolecules.
Cross-disciplinary Skills Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to collaborate with industrial partners.
Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
Personal Skills Organisational skills, autonomy and scientific rigour.
Critical thinking and ability to solve complex problems.
