Our two flagship initiatives are 42 Portugal and TUMO Portugal.42 is one of the world's leading coding schools, with over 52 campuses across 31 countries. It's an inclusive school open to anyone, regardless of academic background or professional experience. The school employs a disruptive, peer-to-peer, project-based learning methodology with no classes, no teachers, and no schedules, boasting a 100% employability rate for its students. In Portugal, 42 launched in Lisbon in 2020 and Porto in 2022, and currently has 800 active students.TUMO is a creative technologies center founded in Armenia, now present in over 10 countries. Aimed at young people aged 12 to 18, TUMO complements formal education by offering opportunities to develop skills in areas such as Music, Robotics, Animation, Game Development, Programming, Photography, Cinema, and Graphic Design. Each student follows a personalized learning path based on their progress and interests, guided by learning coaches and experts. The first TUMO center in Portugal opened in Coimbra in September 2023, and a second is set to open in Lisbon in September 2024, each serving 1,500 students. With plans for 10 centers nationwide, discussions are underway for expansions to Porto/Matosinhos, Braga, Évora, and Portimão.Both initiatives are completely free of charge, made possible by our generous donors and partners. Our mission is to promote upward social mobility and accelerate social growth in Portugal.ABOUT THE ROLE:We are seeking a proactive and responsible Facilities Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Lisbon facilities and coordinate with administrators across other locations. The Facilities Coordinator will ensure that our spaces are well-maintained, fully operational, and compliant with all legal and safety standards.Facilities Management (Lisbon):Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of all facilities in Lisbon.Handle space planning, renovations, and relocations as needed.Manage relationships with service providers and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.Coordination Across Campuses:Act as the primary point of contact for facilities administrators in other locations, ensuring consistent standards and practices.Coordinate with other campuses to share resources, best practices, and operational improvements.Assist the team in the planning and execution of new space openings, ensuring that all facilities are set up to meet operational needs.Compliance and Safety:Ensure all facilities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Implement and maintain health and safety procedures, including emergency preparedness and response plans.Procurement:Manage day-to-day procurement for equipment and other facility-related needs
