Syensqo Job Grade: S18 Job Overview and Responsibilities Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Procurement and Human Resources activities. We offer you to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and to contribute to this group's transformation. Join us in our service center in Lisbon which is, together with the service center in Curitiba and Bangkok, part of the transformation journey. Our accounting team is integrated in the GBS Finance Service Line, and you will directly report to the Financial Accounting Service Unit Manager with a dotted line to the Indirect Tax Manager. As a Team Leader you will lead and develop a team of more than 14 people responsible for: VAT compliance services for all Syensqo legal entities in EMEA. As such, with the support of the dedicated VAT experts and VAT accountants, you will: Act as a key compliance officer regarding VAT, Intrastat returns and EC-Sales Lists (EMEA); Support and advise the team on the preparation and filing of VAT, Intrastat returns and EC-Sales Lists; Contribute to audits (internal and external); Have a clear view on the VAT position of the entities and identify compliance risks; Collaborate closely, partner with and debrief on compliance risks and solutions regarding the VAT position of the entities in EMEA, with the Country Accounting Directors, Tax Compliance Manager and Global Trade Indirect Tax and Controversy Lead; Collaborate closely with other GBS functions to improve processes, procedures and controls on the related scope of activities; Take and lead initiatives to improve efficiency in the compliance process through further technological improvements and automation. Service Billing & Intercompany process management for all Syensqo scope. As such, with the support of your team you will: Manage from end-to-end the Service billing process & Intercompany process; Work closely with internal stakeholders e.G. Company Accounting, Service Unit country teams and ensure a good coordination/cooperation with other regions; Identify any possible action to improve the process; Participate and providesupport in projects. Key Responsibilities of a Team Leader Manage the department & staff Set priorities and/or plan work for a weekly or daily schedule; Ensure that team outputis in line with applicable delivery indicators, quality, deadlines, cost and work in line with group standards (e.G
