Job Title: Immunology Brand Manager

Location: Office based in Lisbon, Portugal

Reporting to: Business Unit Manager Bio-Medicines

Required:

- Able to work from Portugal
- MBA (in a reference School)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English

Desirable Education:

- Bachelor/master’s degree in life sciences or management

Overall Job Purpose:
Manage Immunology diseases (eg rheumatic arthritis), prepare and be responsible for the launch of products and line extensions. This includes building market and customer understanding, implementing the launch strategy having goals in line with global strategy, developing and implementing communication tactics and programs that lead towards the achievement of those goals. This requires working closely with external stakeholders (e.g. key opinion leaders, professional associations and patient associations) and internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, Corporate Affairs, medical department, Iberia Hub, IBU and Global teams). This requires leadership, creativity, accountability and an innovative mindset. The Brand Manager is the key person in the cross-functional launch team and is also the key contact for the International Business Unit. Among other responsibilities, the Brand Manager will lead customer plans, launch readiness assessments and business reviews (Portugal and International).

Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Disease Area
- Build and maintain expert knowledge of the evolving landscape of Immunology diseases (eg rheumatic arthritis)
- Ensure TLs understand scientific data (Rheumatology and Internal Medicine) on Lilly products post launch

Planning & Implementation
- Understanding the patient journey, the customer, and the market

o Recognize trends in the market on all levels and anticipate and adjust strategy and tactics accordingly

o Have an excellent external orientation: shape focus groups / initiatives with key opinion leaders that lead to an understanding of the customer needs and business opportunities
- Plan for success

o Build customer plans that capture above market / customer understanding, sets objectives and define initiatives to bring value to the patient, the HCP and the payer
- Execute with Excellence and Integrity

o Responsible for all communication about the product to build customer engagement: right information through the right channel to the right customer, respecting all applicable internal and external regulations

o Responsible for initiating, collaborating and implementing promotional activities and projects in line with the customer plan

o Train and coach other Lilly employees to equip them for optimal implementation
- Keep senior management and other key stakeholders informed of progress in driving the success of this portfolio strategy

Teamwork
- Create excellent customer experiences through close collaboration with the Sales, Corporate Affairs and Medical department
- Facilitate involvement of Thought Leaders with relevant Lilly departments
- Be the voice of Thought Leaders within the affiliate and the Iberia Hub / IBU / Global Community

Transferable Skills
- 5 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical market, with passion for innovation and patients
- Understands the dynamics in the hospital environment
- Proven ability to build lasting thought leader relationships to support communication
- Have excellent commercial skills and focus on key stakeholders
- Good teamwork skills and collaboration within cross functional team environment
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into activities (project management)
- Strong organizational and communication skills with all levels of the organization (Portugal and International)
- Ability to work independently to define and achieve goals
