Ferring FSC is looking for a Payroll Team Lead to join the international team, operating globally. As an International Payroll Team Lead you will be reviewing and approve payroll data for multiple countries predominantly across European and Asia Pacific jurisdictions however will not be limited to these regions.

Our Service Centre located in Lagoas Park, Oeiras, is growing and we are expanding our payroll team to support mainly European, Middle East and African countries.

As an international payroll specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll for several countries within our global organization.

You will ensure that our employees are paid correctly and timely, and that we comply with the local tax and labor regulations. You will provide timely and accurate financial information, alongside adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and successful team partnership across.

You will also collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to improve the payroll processes and systems.

Your day at Ferring- Manage payroll vendors in Europe, Africa and Asia while adhering to contract and SLA- Develop relationships with local authorities to understand local payroll and tax legislation- Partner with internal stakeholders to upgrade employee experience- Manage Payroll actions in accordance with deadlines to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely- Review and approve Country Payroll Run- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.- Work closely with the HR team to deliver on any non-standard HR processes- Provide process support for payroll in conjunction with the vendors.- Implementing new Payroll systems as part of Payroll transformation when needed- Execute interface with payroll providers where necessary- Perform compliances and audit checks- Guide and support accurate and timely month end/year-end reporting when necessary- Produce ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed- Review and approve third party payments and reporting- Investigate, assess and recommend solutions to employee complex queries and escalations- Review and approve SOPs updates Manage day-to-day assigned tasks in accordance with SOP/policies- Setting quality standard principles and providing likely solutions to employee/organization obstacles- Raising issues with the reporting manager and Country Head of HR, suggesting practical solutions to day to day issues- Take ownership and accountability of assigned tickets, whilst working collaboratively with other internal HR/HRIT/Finance Functions as required- Ensure confidentiality and data protection compliance.- Optimize payroll processes with a Supervisor vision of continuous improvement.- Act as contact person for external auditors in the context of company audits and year-end work- Preparation, evaluation, presentation and optimization of complex, HR-relevant reports.- Support in the optimization of various HR/ Payroll systems and processes

Behind our innovation There’s you- At least 3 years of Payroll experience preferably in a shared services or COE model- Working knowledge of payroll best practices- Project Management- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with solid judgment and discretion is critical- Excellent verbal communication including proper grammar, tone, and a clear speaking voice to ensure solid communication with the customer via phone and in person- Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and correct sentence structure to document cases in the Ticket system- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment- Must be able to successfully interact with all Ferring Departments- Excellent interpersonal skills- Conflict resolution skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Analytical and problem solving capability- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)- Knowledge of Workday- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or accounting or related field- Other Qualifications: English - Required; + oth
