***THE OPPORTUNITY**:
As our **Head of Sales HP **, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance sales organization to effectively achieve business success and strategy implementation.

In this role, you will manage the commercial organization to guarantee strong strategic vision and foster excellence in execution in full alignment with local rules, through a strong leadership. Besides, you will be responsible for developing the teams and individuals, while providing sales management.

Furthermore, you will represent the Human Pharma Sales organizations in all relevant forums and will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with external experts, customers, and the medical community.

This position is based in **Lisbon **and reports directly to the **General Manager & Head of Human Pharma **.

**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Drive sales and market share target achievements by maximizing the number of appropriate patients that receive Boehringer Ingelheim products.
- Review and evaluate the implementation of the account plan process, taking corrective measure when necessary.
- Monitor the implementation and follow up of customer engagement plans, using all available channels to become more multi-channel.
- Achieve financial targets: 1) review and control the sales organization costs & promotional investments against budget, 2) initiate corrective measures in case of deviation from planned sales and market share development in alignment with the MIDIc regional plan/ strategy.
- Lead and inspire the sales representatives by managing talent and performance management activities (to drive commercial success and exceptional customer engagement).
- Ensure good level of sales organizations through implementation of training programs.
- Actively look for business opportunities in win-win partnerships and other intrapreneurial projects. Drive optimal cross-functional coordination and communication within the region, countries and corporate.

**WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM**:

- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Medicine or Pharmaceutics.
- **3-5 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.**:

- **3-5 years of experience leading teams & projects (i.e. leading leaders).**:

- Excellent command of **Portuguese **is needed and advanced level of English is mandatory.
- Drives business success and accountability within team and possesses strong strategical and analytical skills.
- Possesses change management skills and drives transformation.
- Strong customer orientation - able to build strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Solid medical and scientific understanding.
- Knowledge of platforms, customer insights and relevant tools, omnichannel experience.
- Effective Communication & Influencing Skills, able to have a positive impact on others, to persuade or convince them to gain their support.
- Ability to effectively build and manage relationships with many different (internal & external) stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize issues and actions. Visionary - sees chances and opportunities for the organization before others do and acts accordingly.
