**Finance & Accounting Assistant**

PACO is recruiting a Finance & Accounting Assistant to join our fast-growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounting and financial operations of the company and for our clients. You will work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement financial strategies and policies, as well as oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.

**Key responsibilities**
- Entering financial data into databases/data entry
- Collaborating with accountants and finance managers
- Producing financial reports and cost analysis reports
- Auditing financial statements and financial information
- Overseeing client accounts/individual accounts
- Using computerised accounting systems
- Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge
- Reconciling bank statements and data entries
- Reporting to the Chartered Accountant
- Budget preparation
- Creating purchase invoices
- Preparing tax returns/VAT returns
- Processing payments, updating financial records, and managing invoices.

To succeed as a Finance Accounting Assistant, you should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organisational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software. Ultimately, a top-notch Finance Accounting Assistant should have integrity, business acumen, excellent mathematical skills, and an understanding of data privacy standards.

Previous experience with building client relationships and financial advisory is required for this role.

**Finance & Accounting Skills and Requirements**
- Manage and Oversee client accounts.
- Process and prepare financial statements.
- Create, send and follow up on invoices.
- Collect and review data for reports.
- Review and perform audits on financial statements and reports.
- Report discrepancies.
- Prepare payments for employees.
- Suggest improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
- Good organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent time management skills.
