Our mission at Fidel API is to unlock the full potential of payment cards. We offer a suite of financial infrastructure APIs that enable developers to build programmable experiences connected to purchases made in real-time using a card. Our tools are transforming how merchants and users interact by powering real-time, event-driven engagements, best-in-class loyalty and rewards programs and revolutionising processes from reimbursements to expense management.

Our APIs are used by start-ups through global enterprises including Google, British Airways, TopCashback, and Blackhawk Networks, and are supported by the world's largest card networks, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Launched in 2018, Fidel is headquartered in London, with offices in Lisbon, New York, and remote employees globally. Fidel is backed by investors including Nyca Partners, QED Investors, Citi Ventures, RBC Capital and Commerce Ventures.

Reporting to our People Manager, the People Specialist will support and facilitate projects across the employee lifecycle and in HR operations.

**What you'll do**:

- Partner with the People Manager to develop and implement processes to build and nurture a world-class team globally
- Partner closely with Finance to ensure accurate and timely Portugal payroll processing while engaging in ad-hoc projects as needed
- Facilitate global hiring process across the company as needed including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding activities
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to make Fidel API a great place to work
- Proactively communicate people-related issues to all employees while continuously gathering feedback to improve processes
- Use a data-driven approach in project execution to derive valuable insights and enhance decision making
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of all people data within our HRIS to ensure the highest level of data integrity and accuracy
- Support the People team with ad hoc projects that move business objectives forward

**We want you, if you have**:

- 2 - 3 years of experience in HR/People or related fields
- In-depth knowledge on Portugal employment law, regulations, and processes
- Strong analytical and data skills, with a demonstrated ability to work comfortably with numerical data and solve problems using data-driven methodologies
- Proven planning and organisational skills, with a keen eye for details and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work on your own initiative, be flexible, adaptable and open to change
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
- A passion for creating a positive and productive work environment for all employees
