Corporate Wellness Manager

**Overview**: Under the general direction of the Global Wellness Manager, the Wellness Counselor will work closely with a multi-disciplinary health and wellness team to drive, implement, and deliver holistic evidence-based programming designed to support employee's mental health and wellbeing. The Wellness Counselor will proactively create & deliver content to support the entire spectrum of wellness, including physical, social, emotional, and financial dimensions. Preventative wellness practices will be conducted in the form of group sessions, trainings, workshops, and social engagements. Effective monitoring of employees through the use of one-on-one counseling sessions, team-checks and surveys. The Wellness Counselor will have the knowledge and skills needed to help the organization align the workforce with the strategic goals of the business and its key stakeholders.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Prepares and executes at a minimum monthly group counselling sessions and individual coaching sessions.
- Provides crisis intervention, crisis assessment, and consults with external EAP provider when needed.
- Conducts trainings, screenings, surveys, and health-risk assessments as needed.
- Engages in staff and leadership meetings, case management, and consults with program manager as needed.
- Works collaboratively with internal and external colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary mental health team.
- Prepares and maintains reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of operations.
- Tracks the administration and completion of Performance Evaluations for the assigned Engagements’ Performance Management Program as necessary.
- Conducts assessments of an organization’s current health status to identify any potential risks to employees
- Leads efforts to ensure associates develop support in the areas of physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

**Education & Experience Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling or Mental Health related field preferred.
- Must bring 2 or more years of experience in employee wellbeing, public health education, health + wellness benefits or related field.
- Must be certified or licensed to provide individual and group counselling session.
- Experience in crisis management program planning, and prevention.
- Experience leading and facilitating wellness classes or groups.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Must be able to gather and analyze information skilfully.
- Ability to work in fast and evolving workflows with eye for detail.
- Ability to work under high pressure.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset).
